These portraits are harrowingly beautiful, they almost appear to be paintings, their angelic softness yet disturbing contents juxtaposing each other perfectly. They interest me in particular as I am looking at loss (Bedrooms of the fallen) and am starting to research into cancer patients, both of whom would pray to never have to go through surgery again, yet these people pay to go under the knife. I wonder what makes them believe they need to go through this to be deemed beautiful? Ironically many people will think the opposite after seeing this article.
