“Perfect Horizon Stabilisers” featuring Brian Uranovsky
Monthly Archives: December 2013
This absolutely beautifully shot and edited video is the most successful one I have seen whilst researching for my moving image project. Whilst it is not 1minute long I still feel the need to share it with everyone and give them the pleasure of being able to watch it also. It is informative (as I wanted mine to be) and educational without losing anyones interest. The still images used alone could be a project but combined with the moving image they are simply breath taking, such an emotive and powerful documentary that I challenge anyone to see and dislike. Whilst I am nowhere near this standard yet it has definitely given me something to aspire to and aim to be as good as. This is an example of why photographers should be able to create and edit video also as only the creator of the images and video in this pice could have combined them so successfully and passionately, a truly stunning piece of work.
This is my final magazine layout for my picture led story. There has been a massive improvement from my first layout to this final one with visual differences from one to the next. The text is not as important as the images as it is a picture led article, if it were then I would have written a more in depth article going deeper into the subject.
There are still a few more adjustments I need to make before it is finished and I need to write my text now for the final layout next.
From analysing my first layout I have adjusted it to create my second magazine mock up. I’ve made it much more image led with less text distracting from the impact of the photos and I have used a more similar font to the actual Birmingham Living magazine (Dec/Jan 2014 front cover pictured below). I am much happier with this layout and feel it looks more professional and allows the images to stand out and be appreciated properly.
